Foothold adds a measure of safety where slips and falls are possibility. The granite-like pattern has a naturally inspired visual for aesthetics and a low profile surface for easy maintenance. Emboss surface reduces aquaplaning.

• Meets wet ramp rating of R10 and wet pendulum rating of X.
• Textured surface feels slip-retardant underfoot, yet mopping and routine maintenance can be easily carried out.
• 3mm gauge and colors are designed to work in installations with other Excelon tile flooring.

Protective coatings will probably reduce the slip rating to R9 because cleanability and slip resistance tend to be mutually incompatible. However, barefoot wet ramp tests indicate that when a protective finish was applied, the A rating was retained. This suggests that the profiled surface of polished Foothold still provides enhanced slip resistance during cleaning operations, or when watery spillages are encountered in a retail environment.
